The number of active job postings in Malta decreased by 6.47% MoM, and decreased by 39.01% since October 2023, reaching 1,113 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 460 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 1.5% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 537 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 20.44% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 40.49% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 38.06%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 15.89%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 15.2% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 14.76%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 560, number of jobs closed stood at 761 and number of active jobs stood at 1,381.
