On the other hand, the month of February 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 4 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $242.4 million during that month.
Of the 30 deals, the deal secured between Mondelez International Inc and Ricolino, S.A. de C.V., was the largest M&A deal in the Mexico, which was valued at $1,300.0 million and was completed on April 25, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Ternium SA and Ternium Mexico SA de CV, while the third-largest deal was between Fibra Plus and Fibra HD Servicios SC. The Ternium SA-Ternium Mexico SA de CV deal and the Fibra Plus-Fibra HD Servicios SC deal were valued at $1,000.0 million and $495.3 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Live Nation Entertainment Inc-Ocesa Entretenimiento, S.A. de C.V. valued at $444.0 million, whereas the deal between Aerovias de Mexico SA de CV; Grupo Aeromexico SAB de CV-Premier Loyalty & Marketing, S.A.P.I. de C.V. valued at $433.3 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $3,672.6 million and accounted for nearly 73.61% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
