A total of 105 Equity Offering deals (pending and completed) were announced in the Middle East and Africa region, in the last twelve months resulting in a total deal value of over $31,262.3 million. In the LTM period, August 2021 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $14,830.6 million, resulting in an average deal value of $1,483.1 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of June 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 18 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $143.7 million during that month.
Of the 105 deals, the deal secured between Alpha Dhabi Holding and Abu Dhabi Chemical Derivatives Co RSC Ltd, was the largest Equity Offering deal in the Middle East and Africa region, which was valued at $272.2 million and was completed on December 19, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Altshuler Shaham Group; Migdal Group; MORE Investment House Ltd; Sifra Fund; The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. and OY Nofar Energy Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Magister Investments and Tongaat Hulett Ltd. The Altshuler Shaham Group; Migdal Group; MORE Investment House Ltd; Sifra Fund; The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd.-OY Nofar Energy Ltd deal and the Magister Investments-Tongaat Hulett Ltd deal were valued at $171.6 million and $130.5 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Mwendo Holdings B.V-BetKing valued at $100.0 million, whereas the deal between GE Healthcare-PulseNmore Ltd valued at $50.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $724.3 million and accounted for nearly 2.32% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Middle East and Africa region accounted for 6.27% of the total Equity Offering deals done globally, and accounted for 1.76% of the total deal size on a global scale.
