The number of active Cybersecurity related job postings in the Middle East and Africa region driven by Cybersecurity decreased by 7.02% MoM, and decreased by 10.32% since October 2023, reaching 2,571 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 738 new Cybersecurity related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 10.44% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 932 Cybersecurity related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 0.43% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 16.7% and the number of jobs closed increased by 0.65%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Cybersecurity related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 5.91%, the number of active Cybersecurity related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 3.57% and the number of Cybersecurity related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 0.22%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 860, number of jobs closed stood at 944 and number of active jobs stood at 2,770.
