The number of active Technology related job postings in the Middle East and Africa region driven by Technology decreased by 9.39% MoM, and decreased by 15.7% since October 2023, reaching 17,102 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 6,235 new Technology related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 2.65% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 8,007 Technology related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 4.98% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 19% and the number of jobs closed increased by 12.39%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Technology related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 6.78%, the number of active Technology related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.54% and the number of Technology related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 3.97%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 7,069, number of jobs closed stood at 7,722 and number of active jobs stood at 19,172.
