In the LTM period, December 2021 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $7,678.9 million, resulting in an average deal value of $284.4 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of January 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 28 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $83.8 million during that month.
Of the 285 deals, the deal secured between 3G Capital Inc and Hunter Douglas NV, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Netherlands, which was valued at $7,100.0 million and was completed on December 30, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Apax Partners LLP; Warburg Pincus LLC and T-Mobile Netherlands B.V., while the third-largest deal was between CVC Capital Partners Fund VIII and Ekaterra. The Apax Partners LLP; Warburg Pincus LLC-T-Mobile Netherlands B.V. deal and the CVC Capital Partners Fund VIII-Ekaterra deal were valued at $6,052.7 million and $5,104.5 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between KKR & Co Inc; Sprint BidCo B.V; Teslin Alpine Acquisition B.V-Accell Group N.V. valued at $2,007.2 million, whereas the deal between APG Asset Management NV; GIC Pte Ltd; KRC Capital-CitizenM Operations Holding BV valued at $1,000.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $21,264.5 million and accounted for nearly 59.98% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
