The number of active Technology related job postings in the North America region driven by Technology decreased by 6.75% MoM, and decreased by 16.35% since October 2023, reaching 590,864 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 191,981 new Technology related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 0.46% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 234,782 Technology related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 6.09% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 22.59% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 4.86%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Technology related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 8.18%, the number of active Technology related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.78% and the number of Technology related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 1.65%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 219,708, number of jobs closed stood at 248,278 and number of active jobs stood at 655,871.
