The number of active Technology related job postings in South Africa driven by Technology decreased by 5.06% MoM, and decreased by 17.07% since October 2023, reaching 2,702 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 1,299 new Technology related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 16.82% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,443 Technology related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 7.08% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Technology related jobs posted decreased by 26.49% and the number of Technology related jobs closed decreased by 18.98%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Technology related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 9.75%, the number of active Technology related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 6.05% and the number of Technology related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 6.77%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Technology related jobs posted stood at 1,477, the average number of Technology related jobs closed stood at 1,620 and the average number of active Technology related jobs stood at 3,023.
