Of the 46 deals, the deal secured between Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras S.A. and Centrais Eletricas do Norte do Brasil SA, was the largest Equity Offering deal in the South and Central America region, which was valued at $360.2 million and was completed on February 3, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Itausa SA and Aegea Saneamento e Participacoes S.A., while the third-largest deal was between Bradesco Vida e Previdencia SA and Compass Gas e Energia SA. The Itausa SA-Aegea Saneamento e Participacoes S.A. deal and the Bradesco Vida e Previdencia SA-Compass Gas e Energia SA deal were valued at $229.4 million and $154.8 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Hayfin Capital Management LLP; Hemen Holding Ltd-Northern Ocean Ltd valued at $20.0 million, whereas the deal between International Finance Corp-Vatia SA ESP valued at $10.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $774.3 million and accounted for nearly 7.65% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The South and Central America region accounted for 2.03% of the total Equity Offering deals done globally, and accounted for 0.77% of the total deal size on a global scale.
