Of the 687 deals, the deal secured between Stonepeak Partners, LP and Seapeak LLC, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the South and Central America region, which was valued at $6,200.0 million and was completed on October 4, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Mubadala Investment Co and Landulpho Alves Refinery, while the third-largest deal was between EIG Global Energy Partners LLC; Fluxys SA and GNL Quintero SA. The Mubadala Investment Co-Landulpho Alves Refinery deal and the EIG Global Energy Partners LLC; Fluxys SA-GNL Quintero SA deal were valued at $1,800.0 million and $1,165.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Alan Howard; Altimeter Capital Management LP; Bondshine Capital; Circle Ventures; Coinbase Ventures; Hudson River Trading LLC; Insight Partners; Izzy Englander; Lightspeed Venture Partners - US; Multicoin Capital Management, LLC; New Enterprise Associates Inc; Paradigm (US); Ribbit Capital, L.P.; Senator Investment Group LP; Sequoia Capital LLP; Sino Global Capital; SoftBank Group Corp; Third Point LLC; Thoma Bravo Advantage (Inactive); Van Eck Associates Corp; Willoughby Capital Holdings-FTX Trading Ltd valued at $900.0 million, whereas the deal between Berkshire Hathaway Inc; MSA Capital; Sands Capital Ventures LLC-NU Pagamentos SA valued at $750.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $10,815.0 million and accounted for nearly 35.88% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The South and Central America region accounted for 1.72% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 2.32% of the total deal size on a global scale.
