The number of active Technology related job postings in the South and Central America region driven by Technology decreased by 11.26% MoM, and decreased by 7.73% since October 2023, reaching 19,203 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 9,222 new Technology related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 12.14% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 11,658 Technology related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 0.91% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 23.18% and the number of jobs closed increased by 4.79%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Technology related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 8.42%, the number of active Technology related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 2.65% and the number of Technology related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 1.57%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 11,113, number of jobs closed stood at 11,296 and number of active jobs stood at 21,140.
