In the LTM period, April 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $3,066.1 million, resulting in an average deal value of $340.7 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of July 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 15 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $129.9 million during that month.
Of the 95 deals, the deal secured between EQT Partners AB; GIC Pte Ltd; MBK Partners Ltd; Meritz Securities Co Ltd and ADT Caps Co Ltd, was the largest Equity Offering deal in the South Korea, which was valued at $336.0 million and was completed on October 19, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Dunamu Inc and Musinsa Co., Ltd., while the third-largest deal was between DH Investment Company; JKL Partners; Korea Development Bank; STIC Investments, Inc. and Shin Heung Energy & Electronics Co.,Ltd.. The Dunamu Inc-Musinsa Co., Ltd. deal and the DH Investment Company; JKL Partners; Korea Development Bank; STIC Investments, Inc.-Shin Heung Energy & Electronics Co.,Ltd. deal were valued at $89.5 million and $86.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between AK Holdings, Inc-JEJU AIR Co., Ltd. valued at $77.3 million, whereas the deal between HANJIN KAL Corp-Jin Air Co Ltd valued at $42.7 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $631.5 million and accounted for nearly 8.18% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
