On the other hand, the month of May 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 7 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $7.8 million during that month.
Of the 61 deals, the deal secured between Stonebridge Capital and Cloocus Co Ltd, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the South Korea, which was valued at $84.0 million and was completed on January 19, 2022. The second-largest deal was between A ventures; K-Run Ventures; Withwin Investment Association 50 and iMedicin, while the third-largest deal was between Stick Investment and Musicow Co., Ltd.. The A ventures; K-Run Ventures; Withwin Investment Association 50-iMedicin deal and the Stick Investment-Musicow Co., Ltd. deal were valued at $83.0 million and $80.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Atinum Investment Co Ltd; Mirae Asset Capital Co Ltd; Praxis Capital Group; Shinhan Financial Group Co Ltd; Signite Partners-Bungaejangter Inc. valued at $68.1 million, whereas the deal between Unison Capital Inc-Oasis Co., Ltd. valued at $44.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $359.1 million and accounted for nearly 43.21% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
