In the LTM period, February 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $2,224.8 million, resulting in an average deal value of $148.3 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of November 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 24 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $18.5 million during that month.
Of the 158 deals, the deal secured between Blackstone Inc and VFS Global, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the United Arab Emirates, which was valued at $1,870.0 million and was completed on October 7, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Apollo Global Management Inc and Aldar Properties, while the third-largest deal was between Brookfield Business Partners LP and Magnati Payment Solutions. The Apollo Global Management Inc-Aldar Properties deal and the Brookfield Business Partners LP-Magnati Payment Solutions deal were valued at $1,400.0 million and $690.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between B Riley Financial Inc; Chimera Investments LLC; DisruptAD; Dogus Group; Next Play Capital; NordStar Capital LP; SoftBank Vision Fund 2-Kitopi valued at $415.0 million, whereas the deal between Maple Invest Co Ltd-DAMAC Properties Company Limited valued at $359.6 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $4,734.6 million and accounted for nearly 73.59% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
