On the other hand, the month of March 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 13 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $8.4 million during that month.
Of the 105 deals, the deal secured between Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, LLC and Cornerstone Building Brands Inc, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Global Mining sector, which was valued at $4,289.7 million and was completed on February 14, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Blackstone Inc and Interplex Holdings Ltd., while the third-largest deal was between Arcline Investment Management LP and OMEGA Engineering, Inc.. The Blackstone Inc-Interplex Holdings Ltd. deal and the Arcline Investment Management LP-OMEGA Engineering, Inc. deal were valued at $1,600.0 million and $525.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between ACE Equity Partners; Cerritos Holdings Co; Kamur Partners LLC-Australian Strategic Materials (Holdings) Ltd valued at $250.0 million, whereas the deal between Apollo Global Management Inc; Synergy Metals Investments Holding Ltd-JSW Cement Limited valued at $201.2 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $6,865.9 million and accounted for nearly 77.23% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, North America accounted for 64.28% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $5,768.8 million, which accounted for 55.66% of the total deal size on a global scale.
