The number of active job postings in the Metals and Mining sector of India decreased by 5.94% MoM, and increased by 4.06% since October 2023, reaching 538 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 176 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 15.03% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 210 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 48.94% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 4.35% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 39.48%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 1.47%, the number of active job postings observed a growth rate of 1.34% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 15.41%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 175, number of jobs closed stood at 210 and number of active jobs stood at 546.
