Binh Minh Mine in Hung Yen, was the largest underground mine in Vietnam, producing approximately 4.23 million metric tons per annum (mmtpa) of Run-of-Mine (ROM) in 2021. The Binh Minh Mine is owned by Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Ltd. The second largest underground mine with an estimated 3.66 mmtpa of ROM, was the Khoai Chau II Mine located in Hung Yen. The Khoai Chau II Mine is owned by Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Ltd.
Ha Lam Mine located in Quang Ninh was the third-largest mine, the Lo Tri (Thongnhat) Mine located in Quang Ninh was the fourth-largest mine, and the Na Mau Mine located in Quang Ninh was the fifth-largest mine, with an estimated ROM production of 2.65 mmtpa, 1.71 mmtpa and 1.38 mmtpa, respectively, in 2021. The Ha Lam Mine is owned by Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Ltd, the Lo Tri (Thongnhat) Mine is owned by Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Ltd and the Na Mau Mine is owned by Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Ltd.
The five largest underground mines, i.e., Binh Minh Mine, Khoai Chau II Mine, Ha Lam Mine, Lo Tri (Thongnhat) Mine, and Na Mau Mine, cumulatively produced approximately 13.64 mmtpa of ROM in 2021.
