The number of active job postings in the Oil and Gas sector of United Kingdom decreased by 3.17% MoM, and decreased by 34.44% since October 2023, reaching 1,652 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 308 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 59.79% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 362 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 67.76% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 66.3% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 59%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 30.41%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 13.13% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 25.71%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 701, number of jobs closed stood at 910 and number of active jobs stood at 1,985.
