The number of active job postings in the Oil and Gas sector of the Middle East and Africa region decreased by 16.73% MoM, and decreased by 22.93% since October 2023, reaching 1,986 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 733 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 26.6% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,132 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 46.44% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 4.93% and the number of jobs closed increased by 74.15%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 1.67%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 8.32% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 20.31%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 758, number of jobs closed stood at 875 and number of active jobs stood at 2,381.
