Global: ESG Related Job Trends in the Paper and Packaging Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active ESG related job postings in the Global Paper and Packaging Sector decreased by 1.18% MoM, and decreased by 10.61% since October 2023, reaching 6,275 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 2,123 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 11.33% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 2,198 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 10.29% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted decreased by 8.81% and the number of ESG related jobs closed increased by 5.77%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 3.03%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 3.67% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 1.89%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 2,069, number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 2,193 and number of active ESG related jobs stood at 6,520.
