The number of active job postings in the Power sector of Australia increased by 20.59% MoM, and decreased by 11.67% since October 2023, reaching 492 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 246 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 89.23% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 162 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 29.26% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 9.56% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 41.94%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 3.29%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 4.05% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 16.57%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 223, number of jobs closed stood at 241 and number of active jobs stood at 491.
