Travis Perkins is one of the largest distributors of building materials in the UK. Its businesses work in partnership with customers and suppliers in the construction industry to provide building materials and equipment. Its key businesses are Travis Perkins, Tool Station, BSS, Keyline, and CCF. In FY2021, the group added 124 branches bringing the total count to 1,513 branches. Following the demerger of Wickes and the successful sale of the Plumbing & Heating business, the Group reshaped and became a more focused and aligned business.

In FY2021, the group added a net of 124 branches totaling up to 1,513 branches combining all businesses. There were 14 branches opened by Travis Perkins during the year. Propositional developments are being complemented by investment in the branch network with three new branches opening in the year, four more relocated to improved sites, and a tool hire hub opening in London. In the UK, Toolstation opened a net of 70 new branches during the year as the group’s more focused capital allocation strategy enabled the acceleration of planned openings. It expects continued network growth with a further 100 branches planned for FY2022, 60 in the UK and 40 in Europe.

The group operates predominantly in the UK and has a sourcing office in China, a small number of branches in the Isle of Man and the Republic of Ireland, and continued development of the Toolstation Europe business now reaching 123 branches in Belgium, France, and Holland. In June 2020, the group announced the closure of 144 branches and the restructuring of distribution, administrative, and sales functions.

During the first half of FY2021, the group completed its portfolio actions. A successful demerger of Wickes was completed in April 2021, shortly followed by the sale of the Plumbing & Heating business to an affiliate of H.I.G. Capital in May 2021.
