China: Technology Related Job Trends in the Retailing Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active Technology related job postings in the Retailing sector of China decreased by 38.36% MoM, and decreased by 37.26% since October 2023, reaching 527 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 133 new Technology related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 21.76% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 461 Technology related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 82.21% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Technology related jobs posted decreased by 46.8% and the number of Technology related jobs closed increased by 45.89%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Technology related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 18.97%, the number of active Technology related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 14.39% and the number of Technology related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 13.42%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Technology related jobs posted stood at 226, number of Technology related jobs closed stood at 321 and number of active Technology related jobs stood at 790.
