Mexico: Job Trends in the Retailing Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Retailing sector of Mexico decreased by 55.15% MoM, and decreased by 48.65% since October 2023, reaching 741 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 813 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 17.13% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,724 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 181.7% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 258.15% and the number of jobs closed increased by 447.3%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 53%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 19.92% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 76.23%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 547, number of jobs closed stood at 744 and number of active jobs stood at 1,279.
