The number of active job postings in the Retailing sector of Luxembourg decreased by 60.84% MoM, and decreased by 62.1% since October 2023, reaching 177 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 66 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 26.67% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 341 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 367.12% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 45% and the number of jobs closed increased by 266.67%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 18.07%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 27.63% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 54.2%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 96, number of jobs closed stood at 162 and number of active jobs stood at 382.
