The number of active job postings in the Retailing sector of New Zealand increased by 4.67% MoM, and decreased by 55.85% since October 2023, reaching 740 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 470 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 109.82% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 437 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 18.01% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 44.11% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 65.99%

Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 494, number of jobs closed stood at 839 and number of active jobs stood at 1,034.
