Taiwan: Job Trends in the Retailing Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Retailing sector of Taiwan decreased by 0.21% MoM, and increased by 162.26% since October 2023, reaching 952 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 137 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 83.9% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 139 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 55.87% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 211.36% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 73.82%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 46.02%, the number of active job postings observed a growth rate of 37.9% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 36.03%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 283, number of jobs closed stood at 258 and number of active jobs stood at 671.
