The number of active job postings in the Retailing sector of United Kingdom decreased by 10.15% MoM, and decreased by 33.66% since October 2023, reaching 26,766 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 11,854 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 29.33% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 14,878 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 16.54% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 54.4% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 42.52%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 23.03%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 12.78% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 16.85%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 16,044, number of jobs closed stood at 19,412 and number of active jobs stood at 32,573.
