The number of active job postings in the Wholesale sector of United States decreased by 9.75% MoM, and decreased by 22.53% since October 2023, reaching 8,216 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 2,504 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 42.21% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 3,392 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 35.59% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 61.09% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 52.19%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 26.99%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 8.16% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 21.81%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 4,811, number of jobs closed stood at 5,574 and number of active jobs stood at 9,490.
