Vietnam: Job Trends in the Retailing Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Retailing sector of Vietnam decreased by 5.42% MoM, and decreased by 12.53% since October 2023, reaching 384 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 37 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 54.17% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 59 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 96.67% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 24.49% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 0%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 8.94%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 4.36% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 0%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 35, number of jobs closed stood at 51 and number of active jobs stood at 410.
