The number of active Cloud related job postings driven by Cloud in the Technology and Communications sector of the Asia-Pacific region decreased by 22.56% MoM, and decreased by 14.52% since October 2023, reaching 33,355 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 12,504 new Cloud related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 34.37% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 22,220 Cloud related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 54.75% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Cloud related jobs posted decreased by 17.53% and the number of Cloud related jobs closed increased by 98.77%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Cloud related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 6.22%, the number of active Cloud related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.1% and the number of Cloud related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 25.73%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Cloud related jobs posted stood at 14,864, the average number of Cloud related jobs closed stood at 15,285 and the average number of active Cloud related jobs stood at 38,457.
