Of the 363 deals, the deal secured between Permira IP Ltd and Adevinta ASA, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Europe Technology, Media and Telecom sector driven by ECommerce, which was valued at $2,250.0 million and was completed on July 13, 2021. The second-largest deal was between ADQ; General Atlantic Ltd; Princeville Capital; Qatar Investment Authority; SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Trendyol.com, while the third-largest deal was between HAL Holding N.V. and CaseGi Holding GmbH. The ADQ; General Atlantic Ltd; Princeville Capital; Qatar Investment Authority; SoftBank Vision Fund 2-Trendyol.com deal and the HAL Holding N.V.-CaseGi Holding GmbH deal were valued at $1,500.0 million and $978.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between A-Star Partners; Coatue Management LLC; Delivery Hero SE; DST Global; Tencent Holdings Ltd-Gorillas Technologies GmbH valued at $950.0 million, whereas the deal between DoorDash Inc; Mubadala Capital-Flink Lebensmittel GmbH valued at $750.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $6,428.0 million and accounted for nearly 34.55% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Europe region accounted for 21.58% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 20.70% of the total deal size on a global scale.
