The second-largest deal was between Take-Two Interactive Software Inc and Zynga Inc, while the third-largest deal was between Entegris Inc and CMC Materials Inc. The Take-Two Interactive Software Inc-Zynga Inc deal and the Entegris Inc-CMC Materials Inc deal were valued at $12,700.0 million and $5,700.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between PayU-BillDesk valued at $4,700.0 million, whereas the deal between Pershing Square Tontine Holdings Ltd-Universal Music Group Inc valued at $4,000.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $95,800 million and accounted for nearly 51.52% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, North America accounted for 76.01% of the total M&A deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $142,280.9 million, which accounted for 38.24% of the total deal size on a global scale.
