Of the 597 deals, the deal secured between Evergreen Coast Capital; Vista Equity Partners Management LLC and Citrix Systems Inc, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Global Technology, Media and Telecom sector driven by Internet of Things, which was valued at $16,500.0 million and was completed on January 31, 2022. The second-largest deal was between JD.com.Fang; Shanghai Weihao Chuangxin Investment Management Co., Ltd. and Horizon Robotics Inc, while the third-largest deal was between Hellman & Friedman Capital Partners X, L.P. and Splunk Inc. The JD.com.Fang; Shanghai Weihao Chuangxin Investment Management Co., Ltd.-Horizon Robotics Inc deal and the Hellman & Friedman Capital Partners X, L.P.-Splunk Inc deal were valued at $1,500.0 million and $1,380.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between SoftBank Vision Fund LP-GM Cruise LLC valued at $1,350.0 million, whereas the deal between Bain Capital Private Equity LP; Cross Point Capital LLC-ExtraHop Networks Inc valued at $900.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $21,630 million and accounted for nearly 55.47% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, North America accounted for 76.64% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $29,900.4 million, which accounted for 43.05% of the total deal size on a global scale.
