The number of active Internet of Things related job postings in the Global Technology and Communications Sector decreased by 6.22% MoM, and decreased by 14.39% since October 2023, reaching 16,507 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 3,748 new Internet of Things related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 12.31% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 4,842 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 20.7% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Internet of Things related jobs posted decreased by 35.5% and the number of Internet of Things related jobs closed decreased by 21.61%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Internet of Things related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 13.6%, the number of active Internet of Things related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.05% and the number of Internet of Things related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 7.8%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Internet of Things related jobs posted stood at 4,948, number of Internet of Things related jobs closed stood at 5,734 and number of active Internet of Things related jobs stood at 18,205.
