On the other hand, the month of November 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 10 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $1,513.5 million during that month.
Of the 54 deals, the deal secured between Oracle Corp and Cerner Corp, was the largest M&A deal in the North America Technology, Media and Telecom sector driven by Big Data, which was valued at $29,600.0 million and was completed on December 16, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Intercontinental Exchange Inc and Black Knight Inc, while the third-largest deal was between American Tower Corp and CoreSite Realty Corp. The Intercontinental Exchange Inc-Black Knight Inc deal and the American Tower Corp-CoreSite Realty Corp deal were valued at $16,000.0 million and $10,100.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between TransUnion LLC-NeuStar Inc valued at $3,100.0 million, whereas the deal between CDW Corp-Sirius Computer Solutions Inc valued at $2,500.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $61,300.0 million and accounted for nearly 72.72% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The North America region accounted for 46.00% of the total M&A deals done globally, and accounted for 39.42% of the total deal size on a global scale.
