South and Central America: Cloud Related Job Trends in the Technology and Communications Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active Cloud related job postings driven by Cloud in the Technology and Communications sector of the South and Central America region decreased by 7.95% MoM, and decreased by 7.43% since October 2023, reaching 2,755 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 888 new Cloud related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 14.62% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,126 Cloud related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 10.49% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Cloud related jobs posted decreased by 21.97% and the number of Cloud related jobs closed increased by 0.99%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Cloud related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 7.94%, the number of active Cloud related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 2.54% and the number of Cloud related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 0.33%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Cloud related jobs posted stood at 1,110, the average number of Cloud related jobs closed stood at 1,159 and the average number of active Cloud related jobs stood at 2,983.
