The number of active job postings in the Technology and Communications sector of United Kingdom decreased by 7.38% MoM, and decreased by 12.66% since October 2023, reaching 16,755 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 4,883 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 0.87% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 6,218 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 4.36% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 22.28% and the number of jobs closed increased by 3.37%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 8.06%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 4.41% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 1.11%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 5,552, number of jobs closed stood at 6,092 and number of active jobs stood at 18,308.
