The number of active job postings in the Media sector of United States decreased by 6.78% MoM, and decreased by 8.81% since October 2023, reaching 24,199 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 7,910 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 20.16% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 9,671 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 15.09% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 15.99% and the number of jobs closed increased by 8.07%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 5.64%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 3.03% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 2.62%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 9,598, number of jobs closed stood at 10,066 and number of active jobs stood at 26,035.
