Of the 478 deals, the deal secured between Turkey Wealth Fund and Turk Telekomunikasyon AS, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Europe Technology, Media and Telecom sector driven by Digitalization, which was valued at $1,650.0 million and was completed on March 10, 2022. The second-largest deal was between TPG Capital LP; Vista Equity Partners Management LLC and Blue Prism Group Plc, while the third-largest deal was between A-Star Partners; Coatue Management LLC; Delivery Hero SE; DST Global; Tencent Holdings Ltd and Gorillas Technologies GmbH. The TPG Capital LP; Vista Equity Partners Management LLC-Blue Prism Group Plc deal and the A-Star Partners; Coatue Management LLC; Delivery Hero SE; DST Global; Tencent Holdings Ltd-Gorillas Technologies GmbH deal were valued at $1,500.0 million and $950.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between SoftBank Vision Fund II; Tiger Global Management LLC-Revolut Ltd valued at $800.0 million, whereas the deal between Accel; Atomico Ventures LP; Benchmark Capital; Bessemer Venture Partners; D1 Capital Partners; Eurazeo SA; Headline Ventures; LionTree Partners LLC; SoftBank Venture Capital-Sorare SAS valued at $680.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $5,580.0 million and accounted for nearly 28.51% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Europe region accounted for 20.66% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 24.19% of the total deal size on a global scale.
