The number of active job postings in the Technology and Communications sector of Germany decreased by 6.33% MoM, and decreased by 15.03% since October 2023, reaching 20,164 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 3,440 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 24.79% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 4,803 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 18.47% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 43.26% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 2.87%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 17.21%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.28% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 0.97%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 5,456, number of jobs closed stood at 6,068 and number of active jobs stood at 22,066.
