The number of active job postings in the Technology and Communications sector of India decreased by 15.06% MoM, and decreased by 19.72% since October 2023, reaching 72,209 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 24,602 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 20.86% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 37,403 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 54.53% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 6.66% and the number of jobs closed increased by 66.11%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 2.27%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 7.06% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 18.43%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 26,928, number of jobs closed stood at 30,402 and number of active jobs stood at 81,322.
