The number of active Cloud related job postings in the Technology and Communications sector of Malaysia decreased by 14.57% MoM, and decreased by 17.61% since October 2023, reaching 973 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 329 new Cloud related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 4.08% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 495 Cloud related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 11.24% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Cloud related jobs posted decreased by 49.15% and the number of Cloud related jobs closed increased by 43.48%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Cloud related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 20.18%, the number of active Cloud related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 6.25% and the number of Cloud related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 12.79%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Cloud related jobs posted stood at 432, number of Cloud related jobs closed stood at 409 and number of active Cloud related jobs stood at 1,133.
