Mexico: Job Trends in the Technology and Communications Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Technology and Communications sector of Mexico decreased by 10.6% MoM, and decreased by 9.45% since October 2023, reaching 5,002 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 1,567 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 2.91% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 2,160 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 10.94% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 33.69% and the number of jobs closed increased by 13.09%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 12.8%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 3.25% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 4.19%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 1,963, number of jobs closed stood at 1,980 and number of active jobs stood at 5,512.
