On the other hand, the month of June 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 14 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $23.2 million during that month.
Of the 104 deals, the deal secured between Turn/River Capital and Tufin Software Technologies Ltd, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Middle East and Africa Technology, Media and Telecom sector driven by Cloud, which was valued at $570.0 million and was completed on April 6, 2022. The second-largest deal was between B Riley Financial Inc; Chimera Investments LLC; DisruptAD; Dogus Group; Next Play Capital; NordStar Capital LP; SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Kitopi, while the third-largest deal was between Greenoaks Capital Management LLC; Index Ventures SA; Insight Partners; Salesforce Inc; Sequoia Capital Operations LLC and Wiz Inc. The B Riley Financial Inc; Chimera Investments LLC; DisruptAD; Dogus Group; Next Play Capital; NordStar Capital LP; SoftBank Vision Fund 2-Kitopi deal and the Greenoaks Capital Management LLC; Index Ventures SA; Insight Partners; Salesforce Inc; Sequoia Capital Operations LLC-Wiz Inc deal were valued at $415.0 million and $250.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Acrew Capital; Aspect Ventures; Coatue Management LLC; Greylock Partners; Lightspeed Management Company, L.L.C; Shlomo Kramer; Singtel Innov8 Ventures Pte Ltd-Cato Networks Ltd valued at $200.0 million, whereas the deal between Endeavor Catalyst; Prosus NV; Sequoia Capital India; STV - Saudi Arabia-Foodics valued at $170.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $1,605.0 million and accounted for nearly 43.74% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Middle East and Africa region accounted for 1.70% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 4.15% of the total deal size on a global scale.
