A total of 180 Private Equity/Venture Financing deals (pending and completed) were announced in the Technology, Media and Telecom of Netherlands, in the last twelve months resulting in a total deal value of over $12,104.3 million. In the LTM period, September 2021 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $7,275.7 million, resulting in an average deal value of $346.5 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of September 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 21 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $346.5 million during that month.
Of the 180 deals, the deal secured between Apax Partners LLP; Warburg Pincus LLC and T-Mobile Netherlands B.V., was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Netherlands Technology, Media and Telecom sector, which was valued at $6,052.7 million and was completed on September 7, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Alkeon Capital; Blackstone Growth; EQT Growth; General Atlantic LLC; HMI Capital LLC; TCMI Inc and Mollie BV, while the third-largest deal was between Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Picnic BV. The Alkeon Capital; Blackstone Growth; EQT Growth; General Atlantic LLC; HMI Capital LLC; TCMI Inc-Mollie BV deal and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-Picnic BV deal were valued at $800.0 million and $706.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between The Baupost Group LLC-Just Eat Takeawaycom NV valued at $651.8 million, whereas the deal between Allianz Capital Partners of America LLC; Allianz European Infrastructure Fund-ATC Europe B.V. valued at $642.6 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $8,853.1 million and accounted for nearly 73.14% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
