Its main applications of major products categories are - Embedded Computing (Computer On Modules, Industrial Motherboards, Industrial Display Systems, Fanless Embedded computer, and Digital Signage Players); Industry Automation products (Embedded Automation Computers, Human Machine Interfaces, Industrial Communication, Machine Automation, Remote I/O(Input/Output) Modules and so on); Intelligent System (services for the implementation of IoT development, Data Acquisition (DAQ) & Communication, Industrial Servers & Storage, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Video Solution, modular IPC(Inter-Process Communication)); and Intelligent Services (Point-of-Care terminals, All-in-one Service Touch Computers, Industrial Mobile Computers, Medical Carts and POS(Point of Sale) system, etc.).
In FY2021, Advantech had a total sales volume of 6.98 billion units aggregating domestic and export sales. Out of that 3.08 billion units were sold in the Embedded boards and Chassis category, as compared to 2.71 billion units in FY2020 YoY. In the Industrial computer and industrial control category, it sold 3.78 billion units in FY2021 as compared to 3.09 billion units in FY2020. And in the After-sales service and others category, it sold 111 million units as compared to 89 million units in FY2020.
To develop the IoT technological trends of AI and 5G, Advantech has successfully integrated Edge Computing Platform and AI (Artificial Intelligence) chips on existing hardware platforms to launch high-computing performance AI solutions. It is equipped with the WISE-PaaS industrial cloud platform, that provides Solution Ready Packages (SRPs) that integrate software and hardware to help customers achieve project success. It also plans to develop the WISE-STACK, a centralized private cloud and edge cloud in FY2022.
In FY2019, it had a new production site of Advantech Technologies Japan (ATJ), joining the manufacturing capability in February.
