Unit Sales of TCL Electronics

TCL Electronics is mainly engaged in R&D, manufacturing and sales of smart screen, smart mobile and connected device, smart commercial display, smart home product and other diversified IoT (Internet of Things) products, as well as independently developed home Internet services. In FY2021, TCL sold 23.58 million sets of smart screens in the Large-Sized Display segment and in the Small and Medium-Sized Display segment it sold 25.31 million sets. Additionally, in the smart connection business the sales volume were 5.25 million sets in FY2021.

The Group’s Large Display smart screen sales volume in FY2021 decreased by 1.5% YoY from 23.93 million sets because of the combination of rising panel prices and advanced demand from the pandemic in FY2021 resulting in the overall market shipment of global TV sector to decline.

During FY2020, TCL acquired TCL Communication which strengthened its portfolio of smart products and service. In FY2021, the Group’s small and medium-sized display business grew 7.5% from 23.53 million sets YoY.

In the Smart Commercial Display business, the Group joined hands with DingTalk and Tencent Meeting ecosystem.

In the Smart Connection business there was a significant rise of 34.2% from 3.93 million sets which is due to advancement in its all-category intelligent IoT ecosystem with focus on smart connective products including smart glasses7, routers and smart wearables.

In FY2021, in the small and medium-sized display segment, TCL launched TCL 20 Series and 30 Series 5G mobile phones, and NXTPAPER Series educational tablets. It also launched TCL NXTWEAR Air and LEINIAO Smart Glasses Pioneer Edition, officially entering the AR/VR field.
