On the other hand, the month of May 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 8 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $82.2 million during that month.
Of the 57 deals, the deal secured between Visa Inc and Tink AB, was the largest M&A deal in the Sweden Technology, Media and Telecom sector, which was valued at $2,122.4 million and was completed on June 24, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Booking Holdings Inc and Etraveli Group, while the third-largest deal was between MGM Resorts International and LeoVegas AB. The Booking Holdings Inc-Etraveli Group deal and the MGM Resorts International-LeoVegas AB deal were valued at $1,835.7 million and $607.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Komplett Group-NetOnNet AB valued at $431.5 million, whereas the deal between Murgrona Holding AB-ICA Gruppen AB valued at $245.8 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $5,242.3 million and accounted for nearly 86.02% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
