South and Central America: Job Trends in the Leisure and Arts Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Leisure and Arts sector of the South and Central America region decreased by 10.29% MoM, and decreased by 21.75% since October 2023, reaching 3,007 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 1,266 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 28.01% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,611 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 17.42% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 7.74% and the number of jobs closed increased by 54.61%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 2.52%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 7.85% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 15.63%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 1,153, number of jobs closed stood at 1,328 and number of active jobs stood at 3,484.
